Learn the story behind Aloha Aid Relief

A nonprofit rooted in Hawaiian values and built to serve with action, compassion, and impact.

Aloha Aid Relief was born out of necessity—and love. After witnessing the devastating effects of the Maui wildfires, founders Sonny and Jennifer Saldua realized too many families were left waiting for help that never came fast enough.
So, they built something different: a nonprofit that responds with speed, compassion, and purpose. No red tape. No long delays. Just immediate, people-first relief rooted in Hawaiian values.
Today, Aloha Aid Relief operates across the U.S. and beyond, delivering essential supplies, services, and shelter. We also accept land and legacy donations to establish long-term recovery hubs, food-growing sites, cultural sanctuaries, and disaster housing—turning generosity into generational impact.
Our work is powered by donors, volunteers, tradespeople, and families like yours. Together, we restore hope. And we lead with Aloha.

“I am Sonny Saldua, a native of Hawaii’s Big Island and my wife Jennifer Jones and I are deeply concerned about the dire crisis in Maui. The crisis in Maui is dire families lack access to clean water, food, electricity, and shelter. Local assistance efforts have fallen short, prompting me to establish Aloha Aid Relief. Our nonprofit is driven by the spirit of Ohana and is focused on delivering immediate, tangible support to individuals and families impacted by disasters in the US.

Aloha Aid Relief cuts through bureaucratic red tape, ensuring timely aid reaches those in urgent need. We’re not affiliated with governmental agencies or large nonprofits, enabling us to act swiftly. Our goal is to provide essential resources—machinery, tools, services, supplies, and financial assistance—to help communities rebuild their lives.

Currently, we’re providing relief to Maui following devastating fires. Your donation to Aloha Aid Relief directly helps those in desperate need. By joining forces, we can create meaningful change. Your support ensures that both todays and future crises are met with resilience, unity, and hope. Your Kukua (help) today resonates deeply with the people of Maui and beyond, as we strive to alleviate suffering and foster recovery. Mahalo for standing with us during this challenging time.”
